Flooring Systems
From our fabrication facility in Tamworth, we not only create frames and vehicle interfaces for our Glass Solutions, but we also have the design expertise and manufacturing capabilities to create multi material fabrication solutions for various sections of the train structure – one of these being saloon and cab flooring.
Our flooring systems are in use on mainline rolling stock, underground/metro trains, and trams, all designed and built to individual customer car body interfaces and assessed to railway standards.
Our designs range from complex aluminium systems, with pre-bonded floor covering, compliant to ingress requirements of IP66 and yet maintenance friendly to allow panels to be removed in minutes to access cables or under floor pipes/heating etc. right through to simple plywood substrate floors as fit and forget for tram applications, produced on our CNC routers.
We manufacture floor systems from aluminium, composite panels, and wooden substrates to suit customer requirements. Within our range of floor systems, maintenance requirements form part of the design process and in addition, we have the ability to incorporate heating systems, which maintain an even heat throughout the car saloon.
As with our other product ranges solutions are produced to EN15085 (welding) and where bonding is required to DIN6701, ensuring our clients compliance needs are always covered.
